The Elements of Photography
COMPOSITION- the way elements are arranged in a photograph with a balance of: unity, variety, and dramatic intensity.
LINE- One dimensional. It helps move your eye around the photo. Lines can vary in length and in direction.
SHAPE- The two-d outline of a subject. Height and width are its dimensions.
FORM- Three-d and gives depth.
SPACE- There is three-d, positive, and negative space. Space gives art depth.
COLOR- Light thats reflected off of objects with three main characteristics: value, hue and intensity.
TEXTURE- Helps to emphasize the features and details in a photo. It can be used to give realism and character to a picture and may in itself be the subject.
